Attendance and Punctuality

• We understand if your child is unable to attend Nursery because of illness or an important medical appointment. However, we would encourage you to bring your child to Nursery for each of their sessions if possible. This way, your child will settle more quickly and get the most out of their time with us.

• Likewise, we understand that arriving late is sometimes unavoidable. However, it is important that your child should arrive on time for their Nursery session. This gives you a valuable opportunity to engage with your child in their choice of activity, talk to Nursery staff and ensure that your child is happy and settled for their Nursery session.

Collecting Children

• Please collect your child promptly at the end of their Nursery session. It can be very upsetting for a child to be waiting after all their friends have gone.

• If you are unavoidably delayed, please telephone the Nursery: 0121 444 1230 so we can reassure your child that you are on the way.

• Please note that late collection of children incurs an additional charge of £10 per 15 minutes.

• We will ask you who will normally collect your child each day. If someone different will be collecting your child you must tell us in advance. We will set up a password with you. It would be very useful to meet them beforehand.

• Please note that a responsible adult should always collect your child. Older children, e.g. siblings, are not allowed to collect your child.

• Please ensure that we have your up-to-date contact details, and that you advise us if a parent will not be available on their usual contact number while your child is at Nursery.
